What We Do |
Running a creative company
requires more than a creative mind. Enlisting Laura's services has
allowed me to have peace of mind and just focus on the creative and
biz development of my studio. Last year we were involved in a joint
venture to create a kids' entertainment property. It was a great

Corporate Practice
The Firm’s Corporate practice focuses on acquisitions, corporate finance (including venture capital and private equity
financings), contractual matters, corporate governance, and general corporate counseling, including advising
clients with significant international activities. The Firm also acts as outside general counsel to numerous
companies, including those in the cloud computing, security, information technology, and entertainment industries.
The Firm also provides leading counsel in issues relating to benefit corporations, including having formed the
nation’s first benefit corporation. We carefully guide our clients through the legal concerns that affect
critical business issues, including maintaining corporate control, ability to obtain financing, and their ability
to maintain their operations in a highly competitive, rapidly-changing business environment.
Litigation Practice
The Firm's Litigation practice includes the defense
and prosecution of high-stakes commercial litigation for domestic and
international clients. The Firm’s attorneys have extensive experience
in federal and state courts around the country, fighting aggressively
to protect the property and rights of the Firm’s clients. The Firm’s
principals have tried numerous jury trials to conclusion in federal
and state courts.
Oil and Gas Practice
The Firm’s Oil and Gas practice focuses on
representing sovereign oil companies or their foreign investors and
partners. The Firm has
significant experience in large infrastructure projects including
pipelines, terminals, and refineries as well as upstream joint
ventures and other M&A in the oil and gas industry.
In the electric power business, the Firm has represented
government-owned electric utility monopolies in connection with the
negotiation and signing of management contracts covering the operation
and major expansion of large power projects.
The Firm also has extensive project experience in major
pipeline consortium, upstream joint ventures between government-owned
oil companies and key international oil refiners, and high-profile
expansion projects.
